Construction will continue throughout the downtown project area during the week of October 19. The roads have been rebuilt and are ready for the installation of curbs and gutters.

Planned work includes:

  • Xcel Energy will continue to bury electrical lines along Main Street East, working west from Budd Avenue.
  • Frontier & MediaCom will continue utility work.
  • Weather permitting crews will begin to install curbs and gutter on Wednesday.
  • Crews will pave the parking lot at Rainbow Park mid-October.

Residents and motorists should expect construction equipment, temporary access restrictions, and changing traffic patterns. Please use caution in work zones, follow posted signs, and allow extra travel time.

Schedules may change due to weather, site conditions, or other unexpected issues. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as crews complete these important improvements.

Library Access

As construction continues in the downtown project area, access to the Maple Plain Library is temporarily limited.

The only access to the library is by traveling south on Budd Avenue from Highway 12. There is no access to the library from the Main Street East and Budd Avenue intersection (traveling north on Budd Avenue).

Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time when visiting the library.
