Street Project Update for the Week of July 20
Construction Update - Temporary Water Connection

As part of the Downtown Reconstruction Project, homes and businesses in the project area will be connected to a temporary above-ground water system on Friday, July 17. This temporary system allows crews to safely replace the existing water main while maintaining water service.

What to Expect:

  • Contractor crews will be working 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • The connection takes about 15 minutes and requires brief access inside your home or business to verify water valves.
  • Once connected, leave your outside water spigot open. If you have a water softener, place it in bypass mode while using temporary water.

Because the temporary water line is above ground, you may notice warmer water than usual. This is normal. If the temporary line is accidentally damaged or you experience a loss of water service, please contact Dylan Zellmann, Bolton & Menk Construction Representative, at 651-421-4968 immediately.

Sanitary Sewer Replacement Begins the Week of July 20

Construction crews will begin replacing the sanitary sewer system during the week of July 20.

Work will start at the intersection of Main Street East and Budd Avenue and progress westward through the project area. Residents and motorists should expect construction activity, temporary lane closures, and changing traffic patterns as crews complete this phase of the project.

The City encourages everyone to use caution when traveling through the construction zone, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time when necessary.

Drain Tile Installation at Rainbow Park

During the week of July 20, construction crews will be installing drain tile near the warming house at Rainbow Park.

Visitors may encounter construction equipment and temporary work areas while the installation is underway. Please use caution when visiting the park and follow any posted signs or barricades.

Library Access

As construction continues in the downtown project area, access to the Maple Plain Library is temporarily limited.

The only access to the library is by traveling south on Budd Avenue from Highway 12. There is no access to the library from the Main Street East and Budd Avenue intersection (traveling north on Budd Avenue).

Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time when visiting the library.
