Street Construction Update – Beginning Monday
The City of Maple Plain would like to inform residents and businesses of the following construction activities scheduled to begin Monday.
Rainbow Park Sewer Project
Work will begin on the Rainbow Park Sewer Project on Monday and is expected to last only a few days. Crews will be installing a new sewer line from the Rainbow Park warming house to Rainbow Avenue.
During construction, Rainbow Avenue will be closed to through traffic while the sewer line is installed. Please use alternate routes and expect minor delays in the area.
Main Street East Street Project
Within the Main Street East project area, crews will begin connecting temporary water service lines to homes and businesses starting Monday.
On Tuesday, residents and businesses in the project area should plan for intermittent water shutoffs as crews work to connect properties to the temporary water system. Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions and restore service as quickly as possible.
Water Quality Notice
As with any work involving water mains, residents may experience temporary brown or discolored water as sediment within the pipes is disturbed. If you notice brown water, please run your cold water until the water clears.
