The City of Maple Plain is notifying residents and motorists of a temporary road closure on Pioneer Creek Drive due to utility construction.
Road Closure
Beginning Wednesday, September 23, Pioneer Creek Drive will be closed near the eastern portion of the industrial area. The closure is expected to remain in place through approximately Saturday, September 26, depending on construction progress, weather, and site conditions.
Motorists will not be able to travel through the construction area while the road is closed.
Detour Route
During the closure, motorists should follow the posted detour shown on the accompanying map. The detour will direct traffic around the closure using Highway 12 and local connecting roads to access Pioneer Creek Drive from the west.
Businesses in the Pioneer Creek Drive area will remain accessible; however, drivers may need to approach their destination from the opposite direction depending on its location.
Motorists should allow additional travel time, use caution near the construction area, and follow all posted traffic and detour signs.
