McGarry's donation ceremony with the public safes cheifs and Mayors of Maple Plain and Independence

On October 27, the Maple Plain City Council received a generous donation from James Leeder-Botnan, General Manager and Owner of McGarry’s Pub, in support of local first responders. The contribution directly benefits West Hennepin Public Safety and the Maple Plain Fire Department, helping strengthen the essential services that keep our community safe.

Mayor Julie Maas-Kusske expressed sincere appreciation on behalf of the City Council, noting McGarry’s Pub’s longstanding commitment to giving back to Maple Plain. She highlighted how meaningful partnerships with local businesses play a vital role in supporting public safety efforts.

Director of Public Safety Matt DuRose and Fire Chief Rick Denneson also shared their gratitude, emphasizing that community support enhances training, equipment, and readiness for emergency response. The City extends its heartfelt thanks to Mr. Leeder-Botnan and McGarry’s Pub for their continued dedication to Maple Plain’s first responders and for exemplifying the spirit of community service.
