Maple Plain Volunteering

Overview

In an effort to promote community-led projects, wide-spread fundraising, and active volunteerism, the City of Maple Plain is building a program to connect interested parties with opportunities to improve the community. Maple Plain envisions a community that actively strives to maintain and improve high-quality recreation opportunities while also enhancing the livability of our town.

The program encourages grassroots-initiated projects with open participation from all members of the community.  Those that would prefer to assist in fundraising, lend their time to volunteering, or participate in proposed community-improvement projects can register to receive updates and sign-up opportunities.  Individuals with great ideas and the desire to lead their own community-based improvement projects are welcomed to register to become a Project Leader.  The City will contact those that register as opportunities become available. Alternatively, individuals interested in a specific project may contact the city by email (info [at] mapleplainmn.gov (info[at]mapleplainmn[dot]gov)) or phone (763-479-0515) to ask for more details or to establish a time/date.

Community service projects serve as a fantastic opportunity for family bonding through shared activism. Participating in one of these projects is a great way to teach kids the importance of community involvement and volunteerism while also providing them with the chance to watch their community improve in real-time due to their hard work and effort. We encourage all members of the Maple Plain community to get involved in any way that they can!
