Motorists traveling in the west metro should prepare for significant traffic impacts beginning Sunday, February 22, as major construction begins on I-394 and I-94 in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Department of Transportation encourages drivers to plan ahead and stay informed throughout the construction season. Sign up for MnDOT project email updates HERE. I-394 & I-94 Construction (Starting Feb. 22)
- Construction on I-394 between downtown Minneapolis and Hwy 100
- Expect significant westbound I-394 delays during afternoon rush hours through the summer
- Linden Ave. and Lyndale Ave. ramps to westbound I-394 will be closed
- Later this summer, work shifts to eastbound I-394, with completion expected in November
