45th annual “View Santa”

The West Hennepin Public Safety Reserves once again brought joy to our community with the 45th annual “View Santa” program on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The event kicked off in the atrium of Independence City Hall and wrapped up at Maple Plain Veterans Memorial Park, giving children, parents, and a few excited pets the chance to wave to Santa as he made his way through our neighborhoods. Despite the chilly weather, our communities showed up in full force. Not just to see Santa, but to support one another. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the Reserves collected nearly 1,400 pounds of food and $800 for the Westonka Community Food Shelf, making a meaningful difference for families in need. A heartfelt thank-you to West Hennepin Public Safety for their dedication in organizing this beloved tradition. Their commitment helps keep the spirit of community strong year after year.
